White Americans no longer a majority by 2042

White people will no longer make up a majority of Americans by 2042, according to new government projections. That's eight years sooner than previous estimates, made in 2004.

The nation has been growing more diverse for decades, but the process has sped up through immigration and higher birth rates among minority residents, especially Hispanics.

It is also growing older.

"The white population is older and very much centered around the aging baby boomers who are well past their high fertility years," said William Frey, a demographer at the Brookings Institution, a Washington think tank. "The future of America is epitomized by the young people today. They are basically the melting pot we are going to see in the future."

The Census Bureau Thursday released population projections through 2050, based on rates for births, deaths and immigration. They are subject to big revisions, depending on immigration policy, cultural changes and natural or manmade disasters.

The U.S. has nearly 305 million people today. The population is projected to hit 400 million in 2039 and 439 million in 2050.

That's like adding all the people from France and Britain, said Steve A. Camarota, director of research at the Center for Immigration Studies, a Washington group that advocates tighter immigration policies.

White non-Hispanics make up about two-thirds of the population, but only 55 percent of those younger than 5.

By 2050, whites will make up 46 percent of the population and blacks will make up 15 percent, a relatively small increase from today. Hispanics, who make up about 15 percent of the population today, will account for 30 percent in 2050, according to the new projections.

Asians, which make up about 5 percent of the population, are projected to increase to 9 percent by 2050.

The population 85 and older is projected to more than triple by 2050, to 19 million.

How could it be that nearly 50 years from now, the black population will have increased by only some 2% (which, interestingly, is deemed "relatively small increase from today,") while even Asians here will have increased by four percentage points? Also curious is how our current percentage was not mentioned.

I guess also they are telling us that there will be no plans for changing the immigration policies to allow a narrowing of the black-white or brown-black gap.

I tell you that, the crakkka won't let that happen..! They are so concerned by their numerical & ideological supremacy that they'll use everything possible to control that ( see what they've done with AIDS virus in Afrika). I've read they intend to reduce the world population by 30%!

plus, this stadistics are made by white people tryin to increase fear on the white population in order to widen the class/race gap and be able to exploit everybody black, latino and yes, white.
As long as immigrants are illegal and Black people are in-legal institutions (jails) they will be safe and counting profits, the more (people) the better

And assuming that 30% figure is accurate, I wonder what percentage of that percentage will be our people.

If you ask me, seeing how "white nationalism" is not merely a matter of skin color or "race," added to the fact that most of the people they refer to as Hispanic identify as "white," I do believe that "white nationalism" will still be the dominant culture here.

Also, looking at the various "racial" groups individually, "whites" will still be in the majority at 46 percent, as that is the highest percentage for one racial group.

However, of course "they" lump all the rest of us together as "non"-whites (or all others), and compare that cumulative number to the number of whites.

The european Jews are a small group of people who wield tremendous power...so, while I recognize the power of numbers...I would still have concerns even if white people were the minority in amerikkka. Also...I agree with everybody's concerns about white nationalism (euro centrism?).

just on a side note.. i think white nationalism and eurocentrism are quite different...well, at least in their meaning, tho the consequences are similar.
I mean white nationalism is a political idea, its well defined, "we are white, we are superior and the rest just have to be extinguished". and those who follow it will manifest these visions anytime.
on the other hand eurocentrism is more cultural, more abstract, most eurocentrists doesnt even know it and it includes a big number of non-euro people.

isnt something like that?

The serious thing that needs to be done is that all of this energy and power we have here needs to be galvanized as a movement of Pan-Afrikan Nationalism, to feed, clothe and educate our masses to take control of our own numbers and manifest our own destiny (Manifest Destiny)! Our numbers as Truth, Elisa, and some of you all have put it are only relevant if it translates into political, economic and military power!

When I say political I don't mean simply politics in the western since, moreso in terms of our relationship internally and externally with natural resource control and influence around the planet! and the answer is of course eurocentrism, we already know very well what it can do in countries were white are the tiny minority or even countries with no whites in hundred of miles.
