I dont know much about the sister. I have read 2 or 3 of her articles on varying issues. Been to the site. Question though: There is this allegation that she made her identity and most of her background. That she fabricated her experiences to become a spokesperson for some issues she considered controversial enough to sell a few books. Has anyone heard of this and how she answered back?

And she speaks of the beauty of Africa and its People so I can unite with that too. All other biz about her is personal to me and she can have it.

It makes me mad when Black Men try to make excuses for not supporting a strong black woman.

The Sudanese have put out numerous lies and stories about this woman. The Muslims have done the same in an attempt to silence her. It's those actions that make me turn away from the Muslims and from Black Men who keep trying to discredit and slander this woman.

This is sad considering how much love and passion she pours into Black men, especially her children's father, who she praises in the video and everywhere she goes.

When Kola Boof states that most Black men have "color" issues--she is not lying. They do.

When she states that many Black men have betrayed the Black woman and that our race is turning whiter and whiter, she is not lying. Black men encourage interracial mating and the ones who don't encourage it keep their mouths shut and support it.

I don't see any reason that Black women owe any special loyalty to Black men and this issue is only going to get bigger.

The video that the Brother posted here is fantastic. I agreed with everything Kola Boof said. I have read and greatly enjoyed her books. We need a woman like Kola Boof, because she brings clarity and blackness.

Try being loyal to your children.

Try being loyal to people....who are loyal to you.

Maybe if Black Women weren't so EASY and so PREDICTABLE then more Black men would be loyal and would be there for black women and black children. But the FACT is--they not.

I guess putting on an Afro fist and loitering around an Afrocentric crowd makes you think otherwise. I don't feel that way.

I'm down with Kola Boof because she is the first Afrocentric I've seen who actually talks about how to save our race and how to cut off all these self-haters and sell outs. She doesn't pretend that Black men are some kind of mythical heroes who support, protect and choose black women. She keeps it real. She also stated that her loyalty is not to the black man, but to her "womb". She has a GOOD BLACK MAN in her life I notice, because she demands respect and she said on a radio interview that if black men want her--she will get a white one.

As a proud african/black man, I find myself agreeing with a lot of what this sister has to say!! I feel like a lot of black men have turned their backs on the black woman because of self hatred. For alot of us(black males)we just don't want to be reminded of our blackness! So alot of us will want to breed the blackness or our africaness out of us by going out and finding anything or anyone who does not have the same complexion of our own black mothers. It's quit sad if you ask me!

If you read some of her work and have seen some of her interviews,she really does go at black male by saying things like:"the black man is the biggest disappointment since God". and you know what,I can't really disagree with her. I understand that she attacks us(and rightfully so) because she truely loves us and she knows what we are capable of but we are so stuck on the "white is right" syndrome that we aren't really able to see and think staite.

You sisters should just hear what some of our brothers are saying in these locker rooms! I use to play on a football team so I know what gets said in those types of places and some of the things some of these brothers are saying could almost be seen has having genocidal thoughts!!! Sometime, it's so painfull that I have gotten in physical confrontation with these bothers for talking like that not only in front of other balck males but in front of other males of other races!!!

We are in bad shape sisters! But we need more black women to let the masses of the black males know that what we are doing is eventually going to get us wiped of the planet, because like Kola boof said it's not only going on in the african american community, but this kind of mentality is starting to spread on the african continent!! It needs to be stoped because we has black people have the right to live to. It just makes me sick and i'm a black man, I would really hate to find out what it's doing to you sisters!!! We will overcome tho,I just hope that it is sooner rather then later!!!

I think you are being a bit presumption. We are asking if anyone heard that she has falsified her identity or experiences. I heard these allegations from WOMEN, not men. Please, if you don't have any information to answer this concern say "I don't know," dont filibuster or lash against us. This forum has no place for European-centered and contrived clashes between the sexes. Please do not create tension between men and women here. If you don't like brothers, thats your perogative, just dont pass that poison along.

We all have issues. Afrikan Women and Men. I hope you understand this and embrace it, without hidden contempt for one gender or another. That would be a very afrocentric, pan-african and spiritual thing to do.

If Sister Kolof is stating that Afrikan women should not feel any loyalty towards Afrikan men, we have a problem as that is opposite of this forum's purpose. We owe everything to one another. Everything. This is being an Afrikan. Anything less is european.

There is absolutely NO evidence to suggest that black men conspire to get black people to date white people, nor is there any HARD evidence to prove that Black men date white men any more than Black women date white men. No one has any right, proof or authority to push such a lie into the consciousness of Afrikan people. We have only our isolated experiences in varied cities across the globe. And the truth is that most Afrikans still date and marry Afrikans. We all know this. Why are we getting upset about the same negroes doing the same negro things? As was the case in 1776 when Crispus Attucks allowed a White man to kill him for White rights is the case now. Negroes will do negro things.

This site is not ran by, frequented by or speaking for negroes. So your contention with interracial relationships, black women disavowing themselves of black men etc.. have no place here.

I read an article today about FEMI KUTI, the singer from Nigeria. He was saying all the exact same things as Kola Boof. They both are down with African people's liberation from the White man, they both married black people, they both speak up for Africa and they both embrace equal rights for women.

One of you misspelled Sister Kola's name on purpose. Your way of being nasty, mean and jealous against this sister who is courageous and passionate and has a right to her opinion.

We cannot all have the same opinion. Otherwise, we would share one brain. We all have to have different perspectives.

Kola Boof calls herself a womanist activist, because of the long history of feminism in African society, which is ancient. That has nothing to do with Europe. Any African can tell you that feminism has been in Africa for thousands of years. What do you think Queen Hatsepshut of Egypt was? What do you think Nzinga was?
