I've been working on converting some cassettes to cd via the hard drive. Got winXP sp2, Vegas and all the connections. Vegas is way too powerful for the simple capture that I want and the result is off the chain with effects, etc. . .
Is there a way to utilize the win recorder to capture this material? I'm unable to get any sound when I access that program. Does the sound file already have to be on the hard drive? If so then I need a software that will simply record the sound files to hd so that I can then burn to cd -- minus Vegas. . .
