Every time I restart my computer, Windows Firewall turns off. Can someone lend me some advice on how to keep it enabled?
Your anti-virus program or your DSL firewall is probably turning it off. This very common. You can only have one firewall operating at one time. If you have neither issue, I'd say you have a virus or your computer is already hacked.
If you are at a university of some kinds using a free wireless connection your firewall might be controlled by their own security system. Anybody else have any ideas?

One basic rule in IT Security, 99% of the time, everything is better than Windows. So yes Norton Internet Security firewall is better than Windows.
Anti-virus software that isn't updated will not protect against new virus/trojans, what does this mean....there are 1000s of new viruses created daily so without updated anti-virus software your computer is unprotected from 1000s of viruses.

"Cowardice asks the question: is it safe? Expediency asks the question: is it political? Vanity asks the question: is it popular? But conscience asks the question: is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor political, nor popular - but one must take it simply because it is right."
