Control Applications in the Task Bar

Windows offers the ability to invoke application functions while they are minimized in your task bar or system tray.

Typically, you get the standard menu of Restore, Move, Size, Minimize, Maximize and Close when you right click on an open application in the task bar, however some applications extend this menu to do certain functions.

This is especially true for application icons appearing in your system tray. Right clicking on the application icon usually invokes common functions.

This shortcut can be very useful when dealing with music programs, as many offer the ability to Stop/Pause/Play simply by right clicking on their minimized icon.

Give this a whirl in some of your applications.
