Open Command Prompt Here Shortcut

If you ever have to run a something from the command prompt which isn’t a standard Windows command or its location is not listed in your PATH environment variable, it can be a real pain. You have to open a command prompt and do a “cd \location\of\the\command\to\run” path change before you can run the command. This can be quite a hassle is the tool you need is buried, for example, in the Program Files directory.

Instead of navigating in the command prompt, you can navigate to the folder in Windows Explorer and then just launch a command prompt with the location already set. Vista has this functionality built into the system http://blogs.msdn.com/tims/archive/2...ompt-here.aspx, while Windows XP users will need to install this tool
