Arrow Browsers! Browsers! Browsers :o

Greetings IfasehunReincarnated!

I use a combination of different browsers. I use different browsers for different reasons.

For instance at work most applications are built to work best with Internet Explorer, so I use IE there. I have experienced some delays with downloads, but nothing major. No major problems with file size.

At home I prefer Netscape, I find it more user friendly, and easy to configure to my specification. The features are great. I have no problems with downloads, definitely no major problems with popups, and never had any security issue with it. No problems with file size. Speed is good for downloads as well.

Firefox, I use at work as a backup, because Internet Explorer homepage gets hijacked to easily. Another reason I use firefox is because I think it's great as a popup blocker. No problems with downloads.

Opera, I tried for a while as a tester when it first came out. I can't say I really had any problem with it at the time.

Of the browsers listed above, I've used:

Opera
Firefox
Netscape
IE
Maxthon (heretofore MyIE2)

Maxthon is a silent assassin--and it is only going to get better. It’s fully customizable, skinnable, and the tabbed browsing capability saves space for other programs on your taskbar. One thing that separates Maxthon from the others is its ability to "remember" the pages you've visited. That is, if you accidentally close a page, Maxthon allows you to retrieve the address almost instantaneously. In addition, Maxthon gives you the option to declare the proper procedure for closing the browser. If your computer freezes while browsing and you must restart, Maxthon recognizes this as an improper procedure, and upon loading the browser after restarting the computer, it gives you the option of loading all of the pages opened before the "freeze." I could go on and on...just check it out!

glad to see people trying new browsers. maxthon comes highly recommended. as a matter of record though, opera does all those things you mentioned. at this point if i had to rank them i would put

opera, firefox, maxthon, k-meleon, IE...the rest.

opera and firefox are just so darn fast! they even speed up dsl connections. i have had the pleasure of doing my own testing and i can confirm they are more stable during downloads and load pages WAY faster than IE or Netscape. i just use IE when a site demands it. otherwise, bill gates gets no more of my browser usage.

I ONLY use Mozilla Firefox. I hardly have any problems, and the tabs feature is great! I don't have to open up a billion windows to see a billion different things; I can just open a new window in a tab, and I can switch back and forth between web pages with the greatest of ease.

Firefox...anything but IE

If you’re revolutionary minded you should be using as many freeware, shareware and open source applications as possible. I like Firefox not only because of its security, but also because it’s open source. You can almost do or add anything to this browser if you explore and exploit it’s huge array of extensions. Now, Microsoft is an absolute monopoly. No decent hacker, computer guru or geek in his right mind fools with IE. We need to learn how to control technology and not let technology control us.

I have been using Firefox for the past three years. I tried to use IE and my computer would crash continuously. I also got tired of the constant security updates since to me it is vulnerable to alot of hackers.
