Arrow Prime Minister Patterson's Feb.8, 2006, visit

Prime Minister Patterson's Feb.8, 2006, visit

Jamaican Diaspora - Canada Foundation 303 Eglinton Ave. East, Toronto.
ON, M4P 1L3, Canada

February 10, 2006

Brothers and Sisters

Jamaica's Prime Minister, The Most Hon. P.J. Patterson, ON, OC, QC, MP,
will spend some time on February, 18, 2006, with the people of the
Jamaican Diaspora in Canada.

The notice is short, but as you know, the PM is retiring as Jamaica's
sixth national leader since Independence in 1962, and it this is likely
our last chance to see him as chief executive.

So please, join him at the Jamaican Canadian Association, Arrow Rd.,
between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.

He is pressed for time on this trip, but, in the realization that the
300,000 Jamaicans in Canada are an integral part of the Jamaican
Diaspora, set aside two hours to speak with us.

The format will not include questions, but we will ask the PM to say a
few words and in turn, get a chance to say "walk good."
It is a chance for Jamaicans in this part of the Diaspora to pay tribute
to one of only six unique Jamaicans to whom we have handed the reins of
leadership in the 44 years since independence.

See you there. Please be on time, so we can pay our respects and then
allow the PM to go to his other duties.

Peace and love
