EXCAVATION, ART QUILTS TO MINE THE SOUL
Quilts and Artist Books by Cathleen Richardson Bailey opened May 5, 2006
Abyssinia, LLC, 6010 Penn Circle South, Pittsburgh, PA, and runs through November 2006.

Events:
Artist Talk: May 26, 6 p.m.
Drumming, Spoken Word, Conversation, Refreshments. FREE and open to the public. Please RSVP

Quilt Share: June 17, 1:30 p.m.
Join us for tea and bring along for discussion and sharing, your works in progress, antique quilts, and family heirlooms. Or, just stop by for tea and enjoy the stories. FREE and open to the public. Please RSVP

Workshop: Trusting Abstract, Saturdays beginning July 15 through August 19.
No one taught us how to make mud pies. We trusted our hands and our ability to make the mud work. Experience how beads, baubles, fabric paint, glitter and found objects, introduce us to, or reacquaint us with, our inner muse. Fee: $180 (includes most supplies). REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Workshop: Quilting in Self-Portrait, Saturdays October/November. The lines and subtle nuances of our face capture the essence of our spirit. Through creative writing, life stories, journaling and quilting, our portrait becomes a memory vessel as we celebrate our challenges and victories. Fee: $180 (includes most supplies). REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

All events held at Abyssinia. To RSVP and/or to register for workshops, contact Martha Vasser, at Abyssinia LLC: (412) 365-0663 or martha@abyssinia-art.com

Some people take themselves WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, when in actuality, no one else is really taking them as seriously as they think.
