I'm a panther thats charcoal black and proud/
so be careful when you cross my path/
For I am calm but fierce/
Passerby's are intrigued by my immense beauty and strength/
but I'm not dumb stricken by the twinkle in their eyes/
I know they wish to capture me/
so they can tame me collectively/
for my natural strength is threatening/
In my presence they can't help but fearing/
For when angered they know I can easily snap off their necks/
For I am a panther after all/
charcoal black and proud/
They steal the thoughts of the little ones/
and bottle-feed them addictive substances/
"More nourishing than what they get fed in the wild", they say/
So they teach the little ones to hate their nature and everything that they are/
Now dear ones long to be tamed, "civilized", some say/
But these thieves forget: the ancestors blood runs in the young cubs' veins/
they long to be wild and free/
and as long as their instincts are supressed they'll remain torn in between/
the "natural" and the "civilized"/
But I'm not defeated/
more will be born/
charcoal black panthers/
wild and free/
calm but fierce/
Beware of them/
Yes, you've tamed some of the offspring/
but they are not far gone/
and here is something for your sleepless nights/
"the mother's are the source"/
I am a panther/
charcoal black/
wild and free/
Calm but fierce/
and above all/
this panther teaches the young ones how to stand tall/
