When you got black spiritualist looking to yt scientist
For tips and tricks, their wits disappoint like retired fist

Dang I'm diggin that! That particular poem's voice reminds me of Talib Kweli's voice. Not at all saying that the two sound anything alike to anyone else or even that the two "artists" remind me of each other, just saying that this particular poem's voice remind me of his... the tranquility balanced out with the urgency. The intelligence balanced out with the humility. So much and simultaneously so simple. Needed insight without the "And I'm the right one" sermon. Nice one.

And yes.. Thank goodness for something outside of men/women helping on this plane of existence. WHEW! But I do wonder how many storms will have to come to reaffirm the lack of control and (check) the illusion of it.

Yep, but science and human credibility are proof of stability, isn't it needed. But I hear your poem too...Sometimes it's just science running after soul of men, how does one keep the intimacy ?

Thank you African! This is a compliment for a person who doesn’t write often and is not a poet or anything. I think I write about once every 6 months or so. But yes you are right things are out of control. It’s too sad too cuz if left up to the powers that be and the people that want to become the powers that be everyone would be dead cuz they’d shoot and bomb each other up. It’s even worse because so many people are attached to doing wrong so much so that they justify it through culture, society, and worse of all, religion - something that is suppose to give ethics. We have become so accepting of this culture of violence. It’s like who ever does the most evil and destruction to his/her community and/or other communities is considered the best, especially if you done tons of evil and destruction then become rich and/or famous. You are on top of the world and are look upon as everything good and all your negativity is downplayed and shunned. This is a serious problem. Then some of the solutions are even worse when we look to wild new age yt science for solutions to our problems when we can easily look to ourselves for our own solutions. Sometimes we act as if these times are the only times when things have been difficult so we look toward new & contemporary solutions for problems which existed in the past and were solved in the past.

Spirituality is science in its purest form. I’m not against science at all but if we are foolish enough to believe that we can discover, create, and manipulate nature and then give praises to ourselves, like too many scientist do, we are loony as hell. Think about all of the famous yt scientists you know of, how many are inventors or healers and how many are theoreticians? Then think about all of the black scientist you know of and ask the same question. It becomes obvious what is more useful and what is useful is what I consider real science. You have people like Darwin whose claim to fame was naming, classifying animals and saying people are really small intelligent apes. Who cares when animals already had names and classifications in societies around world far before his naming and classification. Who really cares about a made up idea that people came from apes, really but this is publicized as if this is something important. Or you have someone like Issac Newton would is famous for discovering the laws of nature. How do you discover something that is already there and obvious? In my opinion, this is not science but arrogance. If you look at our traditional society you will find in most cases the medicine wo/man is also a priest. This applies even to the history of Africans in the Americas pre-slavery, during-slavery, and post-slavery. Even if you were to look way back to black/African scientist like Imhotep you’ll find people like him were priest as well. So for black/African people spirituality and science are historically and culturally intertwine. Overall spirituality is historically and culturally intertwine in all things African people do.
