my feet slid / into the silky caress / of your palms/ i feel / your long fingers / gently trace adinkra / symbols across / the length of the arches/ brushing smoothly / over the tops / of pristinely- painted toes / with the innate/ sensuality of /a first/ soul kiss/ your hands sweet like / tender lips gliding over / and around/ kirlian energy/ transporting / me to primordial days / rain forests / & savannahs/ of the mandingo, fulani / bambara / and ashanti / massaging the round slope / of my heels / holding them / like divination stones/ between your palms/ predicting & invoking / changes to / my breathing/ patterns/ your hands / stirring / distant images along / the banks of the / sankarani river / i hear the griot/ & the pluck of his kora / harmonies/ of the mbira/ echoing secrets/ & ancient proverbs / the gentle strength / of your touch stimulate / root chakras / centering my consciousness/ & i remember in / my waking dream/who you are/ Sundiata.
