Today, my heart pants by the water brook of your love
Thirsty for a refill

Overtime, I’ve savored the first ration in slow, steady sips
And last night I envision myself tasting the moisture from your sweet lips
This awoke, the dry desert of my heated heart.
I lay in my fantasy hoping it wasn’t just a mirage
I write anticipating a fresh portion as I come to the last drops
For your love I thirst again
