Cryin Out Loud

Cryin Out Loud

Tryin to put in place
Everything my family need
As if on command
They all look up to me
Walkin straight and tall
Head high and proud
Now's not the time
Can't cry out loud

Help wanted sign
I go in to begin
They tell me no
I search again
My puzzled head
Now lowly bowed
Qualified too much
For cryin out loud

This way and that way
I can't seem to make
No empty hands
For my family's sake
Can't go home
No resources found
I desperately need
To cry out loud

So there on the street
I had to let it go
The pressure inside
Noone could ever know
Frustration's high as clouds
How will I ever
Stop cryin out loud

As emotions grew
I fell to my knee
Soon passers-by
Joined in with me
Frustrations gave way
To thankful charity
It became a rejoicing crowd
This public I permitted to cry out loud
