We have our Addictions some people drink some smoke I….Love my black women.

Your eyes to you heels you knee caps to the bridge of your nose where you glasses sit.

I love your everything!

Your nappy hair your ashy elbows your strong personality is what makes my addiction incurable and frankly

I want to stay an addict

I know I have a problem……I break my neck to turn to see you walk pass

I strain my eyes to catch a glimpse of you across the way.

I risk rejection and heart break to say hello

I build friendships just to know you

I spend hours reading about the strength you posses

I take discomfort to stand on the bus just to allow you to have a seat knowing damn well I have bad knees.

I have a problem I know

I maybe too nice

But I love who you are.

You bring life

You walk with dignity

You speak with Passion

I love you everything.

Being single isn’t bad for me because I’m always in love with

The Black Queen

The Afrikan Goddess

The mother of reality


The future of me is you

I man I be is because of you

The reason I live is to honor you

I’m a man to be apart of you

I don’t have one to myself but I’m married to all

Because I love honor and obey till my dying day.

Even if you have no love for yourself

I was feeling you on some parts, but then when you started describing the black women that you loved i.e. certain traits, then it took away from some of the fire that you had in the piece. If you had a true "addiction" for black women, then the hair, the skin tone, the color of the lips and other objective characteristics wouldn't matter.

Someone that is truly addicted wouldn't have specifications as long as it got them the same high each time, ya feel me?

Other than that, not bad at all.

I just tried to make it include the main characteristic to push the point strong.

But don't you see the contradiction in that, though?

There isn't one "main characteristic" with Black Women, because:

*They come in all different shades
*Their eyes come in different colors
*Their hair comes in all different textures
*Their lips comes in all different shades

If you were describing the Sisters "as a whole", I would think that it would make sense to include all of them (like REALLY include all of them) how I just did it.

Regardless, it's still a decent poem.
