| My climb
After much climbing I’ve reached a peak of a particular time Surveying the landscape of my mind I feel the wind pick up blowing back to me The life I left before I began my journey to find where my future lies Feeling the earth shake beneath me, I realize that standing still Would only allow me to re-enter my own traps Suffer my same torture as my own flaws take hold of my improvement Once again setting me back to before my shift to change So I battle on with my new resolve to live for my life Lightening my mental loads as I replace my past thoughts with present experience That glow my path as I climb toward my future Guided only by the sickening taste of what I’m use to Pushing away what I’ve feed my psyche that lead to my obese state fat with personal pity My only light in my drowning darkness is a memory left behind that travels with me Though I let other ones die as I take in new ones The love she gave me fuels my continuation as her final words to me reminds me Of my life forcibly marked with happiness followed by death I go on alone scaling my mountains with the strength that my destination ends at the top My goal now is to look down from where I will stand and see the path I took And for the first time be able to look at it with eyes of accomplishment That I got where I was meant to go Proudly holding the life I’ve created in my arms one more time before I am called to go Gracefully kiss her goodbye as she sets out on her own journey to climb Jalili B.
