A Letter to Myself...

[Rebel Queen]

I did not arrive into this world to be ravaged
or subjugated.
I am a panther… unspotted and untrusting,
ready to pounce at anyone who gets in the way
of my path to FREEDOM.
I must stay clear of those who are plagued
with the disease of self-hate for that disease is contagious.
It is a disease that welcomes self-destruction
which I steadily refuse to succumb too.
My destiny lies in my reluctance to accept defeat.
Instead I welcome the TRUTH with open arms
but I do not allow it to weigh me down,
for that is a number that is too difficult
to comprehend by many.
Instead I seek it determined, unwavering,
unwilling to accept the pain that comes along for the ride.
Neither do I run from it,
for I know that somewhere down the line,
that pain will slowly diminish
as ALL TRUTH IS REVEALED.
