Times like this I wish I never had a child
Not because it’s hard work of because her mothers wild
But because of all this mess going aroun
People killing themselves on web cams
Or getting shot over food stamps
Individuals demonized for mind rants
When the true devil with the angel face is in your place
Nights like this I hope I don’t wake in teary sweats
Cursing life for allowing me to meet, love and lose Celeste
Making me turn away the rest because I have had the best
Then forcing me to love on with needless feelings of regret
Catching glimpses of people that resemble her
Giving me rage till I realize she’s not around
I know my sleeping sobbing woke the house
But I wish my words would wake the world
At least my own pain could heal the sick
Instead of everyone feeling as if things are well as I deal with this shit
I wish that this was a time to celebrate
Instead hope and dreams separate logic from facts making truth feel like fiction
As they call bondage freedom and Revolutionary talk Revolting
