I can tell you what I see
How I feel when I look into the air
Seeing cloudless skies streaked with chemtrials
Young brothers being made into hood martyrs
And young daughters being turned into booty calls


I can tell you what I see
The way it makes me feel when I see it
Ever black mens magazine hailing riches and bitches
Instead upliftment and our place in history
But I don't want to talk about what I see


I want to tell you what I want to see
I want to see BUSH IN JAIL
Cheney burning in hell
And people proud of the CHANGE they can make

I want to see my daughter smile
My nieces and nephews as well
My mother retiring happily
My sister restful teaching


I want to see my people TRULY OVERCOME
Not with the help after begging those keeping them under
But with their power and our children as the reason for climbing
As they erase all the self hatred for our brown skin
As we realize our beauty


I want to tell you what I want to see
Because you see what I see too
You see the bad rarely seeing the good
We all smile now covering up our gloom with a numb tomb


We can all see the bad and hope for the good
But I want to tell you what I want to see
