SWOLE

Just to prove her love to him was her only goal.
And yeah, she gave up tha goods, and in return she got swole.
She was too scared to tell her mom…cause she was only 15 yrs. old.
But now the struggle begins…cause her and ole dude…are no longer friends.
Of course he said he’d be there, but this is now…and that was then.
Her mom was still a young girl herself,
Sixteen, as a matter of fact…when she had her first baby…and she got no help.
She’s 31 now and still young…with a daughter who’s 15, whose life resembles her own.
So now we have a cycle of babies raisin babies.
With little chance of change…and a life full of maybes.
Big mama ain helping…she got a little tenderoni named Tony,
Who she be givin all her time to.
And she be breakin him off every payday…
With her every little dime too.
Now here’s where it gets twisted…
Cause baby needs Similac,
Baby mama freakin dad…tryin to get him back…
To help take up the slack.
But he ain hearin that.
He just tryin to get his rocks off,
You know…he just tryin to get his thang soft,
And hang out with tha fellas, drinkin em forties,
Smokin some weed, talkin to some shorties, and tryin not to cough.
Meanwhile…
Baby’s getting bigger…
And baby’s mama…a gold digga,
Tryin to find a good man to take care of her little…
Infant…go figure.
Mom’s a 10th grade drop-out, the young man is tryin to cop-out,
He sayin it ain his and he needs a DNA test, so that there’s absolutely no doubt.
She was like, “Oh no you ain’t tryin to opt-out, talking bout…
DNA test, I ain been with nobody else, what you tryin to say?
You just tryin to start some mess, so you won’t have to pay.”
They start scrappin; neighbors call the po-po.
Dude sees the cops comin…and hauls ass like Flo-Jo.
But after she dissed ole dude, she found a good man…
And a few months later…yup, she was on swole…again.
But he was real good to her…real good in bed…
And that’s about it.
Cause…soon as she said she was pregnant…
He said…“It ain’t mine,” and that brother split.
Tryin to collect child support from tha first baby’s dad,
She drags him to court, and he comes in lookin all sad,
And tells tha judge it ain’t his and he wants a DNA swab…
From a professional, with a license, one that knows how to do that job,
Cause he won’t the only one that was hittin it like Tyson, otha brotha’s were hittin it too.
And just her sayin that this was his baby…nah… that ain gonna do.
She said, “Judge, this is definitely his baby, cause I don’t get down like that.
He talking bout this ain’t his baby…
He must be smoking crack.”
Fast forward…DNA results come back,
Judge was like, hit tha road jack.
It says that you’re not the father right
here…according to this paper stack.
She was 16 with 2 kids, now…and tha second guy was like,
His baby…might not be his child.
“I want a test too, who knows if this is my baby,
I ain’t getting caught up like that with you.
Cause your case is beginning to look shady.”
So, back to court for child support…
He says…she says…
Judge says, “What a mess, we’ll have to settle this…with a DNA test.
Fast forward again…Déjà vu…
Cause he ain’t tha daddy of baby number two.
Now, there’s no happy ending,
That’s just tha way that life goes sometimes,
And sometimes, it’s just gotta rain…before tha sun shines.
So, struggling to raise 2 babies with no help,
While turning into a young lady…all by herself,
Definitely took a toll on her esteem…what was left of it,
Especially since she felt so alone…like her death number hit.
She had lost part of her future…and now, she was lookin for tha rest of it.
Cause all that she knew was a hard life,
Since she took her first breathe of it.
She came into this world alone,
And now…that’s how she felt with it,
Alone, like she was tha last one on earth,
Alone, like she felt when she gave birth…to her first,
Alone…and cold.
Yeah…alone…like she felt, when she was 15…and swole.
