The RNA believes that as a nation, black people are entitled to the full rights of a nation, including land and self-determination. Furthermore, Amerikkka as the land upon which Black People (New Afrikans) have lived, toiled and made rich as slaves is theirs; it is land that Blacks must gain control of because, as Malcolm X said, land is the basis of independence, freedom, justice and equality. The RNA even identified the five states of Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina as Black People's land. There is a rhyme and reason why i start with Marcus Garvey and the UNIA and move right into the RNA. They really were inspired by and carried on Garvey's work--they started by adapting the same flag. In the same spirit RBG SSTT is attempting to model after and carry foward the work of the OAAU and the UNIAs work in a hip hop context.

Thanks for this article. A white boy wrote a book about the Balkinization of the U.S. It as well suggested that these areas could belong to Black People.

I don't believe it will ever happen without a revolutionary war, we hold up too large a chunk of the US GNP for them to let their slaves get away. And most of the slaves ain't wit it--dependency, they believe, is better.

I see, I guess we can use other means. I think it will have to happen this way as well. I think if we teach our people not to be slaves Economically then we can move forward.

My mother, May God Bless Her Soul, use to say "you can't teach a old dog new tricks". I say "you can take a horse to the water, but you can't make him drink." Materialism, individualism and consummerism have so thoroughly poisoned Afrikans in Amerikkka that economic slaves are all we will ever be.You would like to think that we could break the cycle by teaching our children better. But that shit-uation only seems to get worst with each generation. Of course the TV and popular media are the main culprits. There're a lot of psychologial reasons behind our being eternal economic slaves. Not the least of which is the fact that we think we can cure the psychological acceptance of the white man's declaration of inferiority by socio-materially being closer to him. They even showed that much pop psychology in Roots. When Chicken George got a long coat, top hat and cane he thought he had arrived--now he looked just like master. Still a slave but he look good. Well who defined good? Plus you have to look at the fact that most of the hip hop generation drinks hater-aid on a daily basis. Crabs in a barrel, as soon as one crab gets up to the top the other crabs reach up and pull him back down.
Anyway, like I've said many times before "to be a revolutionary you have to be willing to live off rat meat."
