About your Signature

Since we have a thread explaning your choice in avatars, I thought that it would be good to have one dedicated to explaining your signature choice.

I'll start off with mine.

I chose the pride of lions and the quote about History because I feel very strongly about our own people telling history from OUR perspective.

The Spelman Hip-Hop Week pic from this year I chose because I miss my Spelman Sisters, and I miss great events such as the ones that they are having there. My mom calls Atlanta my second home: I don't deny it.

I make music, and I want people to check it out. That's why I have the link to some of my music.

The quote by me explains that I'm not one dimensional, and that you don't need for me to say that in order to know that because my actions speak louder than my words.

indeed many of us thru out the united states of afrika,are living half butchered lives and truely could be saved,drugs in comunity and many more,we have to unite and under one front,that was his message to us,and thats why they killed him in jail and neva let him out,he was the mumia of his time.

Yeah well i read Blood in My Eye and Soledad Brothers a few months back and they BLEW MY BRAIN UP, had pass onto as many my bros as I could....but i feel it really reflect where alot us young brothas r at.... we can be all tough on the block suposedly but scared of YT,scared of popo, SCARED TO THINK basically..... we got so much power inside us jus sleepen away

ok, so i guess i'd have to explain the whole picture, lol... ok i need to take a break so...

from left to right, up and down:

-the first drawing is Yemoya (Sea Goddess)
-the circle with the woman inside represents WOMBmanhood to me, Maat, inspiration.
-"Reclaim the streets" is the need to demostrate, and the need to take control of our streets that are ruled by criminals, cops and folks tryna get ur money.
-The Lotus Flower, also represent the Fertility, Divinity, Purity, the power and Beauty of the Womb. The Will coz this beautiful flower grows in corrupted shallow waters.
-The first symbol its the Ram's Head, represents Strenght, Humility, Excellente and Learning.
- I put the fist in the middle, its Power to the Grassroots/People.
-The hands represent Flamenco, the spanish traditional roots music.
- The second symbol means Het/Light.
-The instruments are there coz Music is very very important in my life.
-The fist of Nanny of the Maroons, yall know the story.
- Beats and Rhymes - again my love for music and HipHop
- The Lion - as The Alchemist says it represent Pride, Strenght, Afrikan Royalty.
- Warrior Queen - i just love this pic, its strong.
- NO JUSTICE NO PEACE (thats what im talkin about, folks be stressing the need of peace, Peace by any means. The world wont have no lovely peace until we obtain Justice)

"A true revolutionary is guided by feelings of Love" is a famous quote by Che Guevara. Love is important coz it heals, it gives u a good perspective not sickened n blurred by hatred and bad vibrations. If you dont have Love for the people what/who are you fightin for?

My signature is intended to cut away at the daily mental threats and concerns we encounter and arrest ourselves with...we get side tracked so it is designed to keep myself and others focused when we get over emotional or entirely too impressed with our own logic.

I love sigs. Not using one right now though. Usually used to describe my mood. (I am making a few surprise sigs for members as we speak. I have made them for rebelafrika so far and a few avatars for rebelqueen)

Admin note: pics in your sig should be no bigger than 250x500 pixels. to determine if you are within limit, right click on pic and view 'properties'.

Using multiple pics in one sig is a no-no unless they are small. we don't want it to start looking like Sanford & Son backyard up in here.

My current signiture is just me being silly, with the help of D.J. Danger Mouse and MF Doom (together known as "Danger Doom"). Oh...and I can't forget Jay Z. He is helping me be silly too. Well how you gonna be silly when African people are suffering and struggling rebelafrika? It's just a freaking signiture man. You should switch to decafinated.

My signature is... pretty much what I feel about people thinking/or not thinking for themselves or just agreeing/disagreeing because agreeing/disagreeing is most popular. Regardless, what truth is is what truth is and the truth is indifferent to the fickle ways of trends and people.
