Dna Ancestry

Hello all, I was curious as to how many here have gotten DNA ancestry tested before? Because i'm gonna do it soon, and
I wanted to know if anyone else did and what results they turned out to be. From whether it be East, or West Africa.....If the tests are accurate, its real important for all people of African descent that live in the Americas, to regain their identity since it was took away from us due to slavery.

same here sista, thats why i'm asking on this website. Because i really dont like the idea of them having some of my DNA, even though they probably had my DNA without me knowing when i was a newborn.....If you do take a DNA ancestry test, will post up here and let me know what your results were? Also sista from which company do you plan on getting dna ancestry tested with?

Suposibly it goes like this......You send in your dna from inside your mouth, they test it, then they find whichever dna matches with a certain African tribe, or region. Honestly if they can't give reparations to us, they should atleast not be able to prophet on Africans finding their history since they took it from us to begin with.......

Isn't that just a weeeeeeeee bit of a generalization? It's a bit deeper than that, I'm afraid.

I know that my ancestors came from Africa (at least the ones that I know about; who knows? I may have ancestors from elsewhere, too), but Africa is not one big continent with a homogenous culture. As you well know, there are many different cultures, languages, dialects, and etc. on the continent. Therefore, I see nothing wrong with someone wanting to know which part of Africa they directly come from (or other places for that matter). If you can find a free way for me to find a more substantial link to my ancestry besides asking my grandparent(s), then I'm all ears.
