I have gone thru three or four avatars. First I try to choose one that nobody already has.

I remember when the avatars section started gettin big and we all brought ideas I asked to use one of rigoberta menchu, a latin warrior woman, and also one with two hands in a beautiful flamenco position (see it on my signture), I used that one for some time. I also love the one with erykah's raisin her fist, and the Warrior Queen but sumbody already had it. I also had the one with a drawin of Sea Goddess Yemaya. But lately with all these new events I felt like havin an avatar that express sumthin strong and loudly, n I felt that when I saw this one.

Plus u can see I have some of the forum's avatars on my siggy, u know I cant choose only one!

Avatar: The Raven

I chose the raven, obviously for its beautiful blackness and mystique. Legend says this is the bird that sacrificed to bring light to mankind, it carries the spirits to the land of dead...it endures any season and is considered the most intelligent of all birds. It will cooperate with humans but cannot be "domesticated" by any means...Murders (flocks) of Raven often leads the wolves on the hunt to prey and patiently as if meditating waits for its turn to eat.

In my signature I use the Iaido swordsman who demonstrates the one cut kill this is poetic motion, precision at its finest one cut one motion a series of movements before placing the blade (the spirit) back in the sheath (resting mind and body) a flash of light beams, know my truth and my truth be the light!...that's the ghostsword technique in a nutshell.

The art of Iaido is a Japanese sword fighting art that was created near the end of the feudal era in order to preserve various samurai fighting sciences. It's essence is designed to fight against suprise enemy attacks. It's focus is more on less on precise strikes ie, in a conflict timing and critical focus of the spirit is the key...meaning you don't draw your sword to cut until the exact opening even if your opponent is whylin' out with a weapon coming at you. I jumped to this in my teens after a few years of Kendo-ship.

I chose my avatar because I like the group Outkast. They continue to innovate and push the limits of how hip-hop sounds. Plus, Stankonia is an album that I like a lot. Not as much as their earlier works, but I like it just the same.

i choose my avatars by the "space" i am in. i am nearing the end of my iyawo year, and needing to remind myself that its a journey not the destination itself.

most of my personal avatars are spiritual statements of where i stand on issues. that is, i express my politics through my spirituality.

some of my non-spiritual favorites are the burning white house, the Malcolm X and G. W. Carver Stamps and Harriet Tubman (both of them) and the F#ck the Ho-Lice.

the Avatars that i have are many they were all gifts to me. they are how others see me and to me they speak volumes of who I am and what i represent.

Issa_Scriptures will become famous soon enough
I choose the avatar that I have is for my group revolutionary disciplez and this was supposed to go our album cover but we had a problem with the distributor they didnt want to use that as a cover photo so we had to change it to something less "threatening". so what u see is 3 brothas with guns all in yo face letting you know by any means we will clap, pigs, sellot niggas and whoever else wants to stand in the way of community progress.
