This great freedom fighter of ours, Ali has been recently released after 19 years in the prison system. However, he has been homeless while living in Indianapolis, and in need of his medications. On December 24, Ali was jumped and beaten. He is currently in the hospital, suffering a broken partial; he has severe rib injuries with possible broken bones, and a head contusion, among other injuries. We need to put out an appeal to all our comrades. If you are in Indianapolis or have any contacts there, please look in on our brother. He is in Wishard Hospital. BIO: Ali was in prison for the charge of "Assault with Intent to Rob while Armed" for attempting to shut down a major drug dealer. One of the bloodsucker's do-boys had sexually molested an 11-year-old girl as payment for a drug bill owed by the girl's mother. After learning of this, Ali and three of his comrades went to take people's justice out on the community parasites by going after their capitalist enterprise. For these actions, the courts said Ali took the law into his own hands.

Since Ali has been incarcerated, he continued to struggle for liberation and justice for all people. However, Ali met much repression from prison authorities. This had ranged from being constantly transferred from facility to facility, his mail rejected and tampered with, property damaged by corrections officials and an attempt on his life by other prisoners. This was based on a bogus story put out by prison officials, hoping this would stop Ali's political attacks of them. Ali has been up for parole since 1996 with a recent parole hearing in February 2000 and each time, they have denied him parole for unsubstantiated reasons.

Ali, through PPWC (Political Prisoners of War Coalition), developed a powerful network where revolutionaries, activists and socially conscious individuals have come together from all walks of life... bridging the barriers of language, distance and borders to defend truth and to fight for freedom.

Ali had been a very successful drummer with several 70s and 80s era bands from the Dramatics to Grant Green to Parliament. He really needs our help. Whatever you can do, especially if you live near Indianapolis, will be very helpful. Uhuru!

Recently, we sent out an appeal requesting assistance for Ali Khalid Abdulah. We were one of many groups/orgs to do so.

Additionally, information on Ali Khalid Abdullah's "history" was attached to the email to give some blackground/context/history.

In the time since that appeal went out, information - as yet unconfirmed but from reputable and reliable sources - has come to us alleging domestic violence/physical abuse by this individual against his wife/spouse/mate/partner.

This information is being relayed to you so that you will be aware.

It is also being relayed to Abdullah - via his e-mail address above - so that he can refute these very serious and counter-revolutionary charges.

We will continue to support freedom for all political prisoners and prisoners of war currently being held in US prisons - and those recently released - to the best of our ability.

And we will also continue to question and investigate when we receive information of such a counter-revolutionary nature.

Yes. I second that, Natty Reb. To elaborate a bit more, there is additional information and other serious accusations that reflect a counterrevolutionary tendency in the brother. My source is on the money and I offered the advice to just let the situation die on the vine because of the allegations and our lack of ability to conclusively resolve anything. I don't like unsubstantiated info when it comes to making decisions but against the background of the recent trail of events, it flows. Then, even with Ali's input I am unclear how to come to a resolution without having the other parties weigh in to determine who may be grinding an axe. However, Ali's unstable history (this is substantiated) and the accusations give me hesitation in seeking any further help on Ali's account.

Please make sure to view the video so there will be no doubt about how this plays out as a cautionary tale for organizers.

Note: I had no knowledge of Ali's most recent media appearance, but relied upon personal judgment, experience and a few "little birds" (two great African sisters who stayed on top of the situation) who pulled my ear long before any of this went down. If it were not for one African woman on this site, in particular, my knowledge of this specific individual would be based upon intuition and personal judgment alone. She knows who she is and she deserves all my respect and plenty of props. This same Warrior Queen on Assata Shakur Forums made this vid available, altho I must assume complete responsibility for taking the liberty to post it here so that we may perhaps become more clear about forces in the Liberation Movement and the tendencies which arise and play upon our sentiments. Got your reply but you have missed the mark completely. i have not spiraled out of anything and it is not what you might have concluded in your own mind. Of course, i have not given you full details on anything but this is a very afrikan centric thing that is involved here and it only lacked your knowing full info due to so sensitivities. Never jump to conclusions on a thing or person unless you are sure of the situation at hand.

Now with that said, there was a bad situation that took place with a brother and a sister. They were in peril and had to have instant support and they got it. White pig mastas did not like it. White hate - nigga-groups hated it. So now the uproar is all out and it is loud. Can you read inbetween the lines here?

So brotherhoods are in seclusion on the various safe-grounds and eyes are out making sure all is below ground. Ones are safe and have easy passage out of here. It is about 12 of us in this below ground. My question to you was valid for 12 reasons. Now can you get to the what i am saying?
