i didn't want this to get lost at the bottom of the previous posting, one thing we most certainly can unite on is the care of our esteemed elders:

Hotep Family,

We would like to create a support group of people willing to give support to Dr. Ben and his wife Gertrude. Dr. Ben is in a nursing home in the Bronx and his wife is in a nursing home in Manhattan. Both need general support services (African Love), however, because they are in nursing homes, we do not want to disturb the business operations of the nursing homes. Often times, when we put out a request - it takes an emergency tone and there is a lot of energy in the beginning but none when you really need it. I have visited Dr. Ben several times and have a sense of what his basic needs are beyond the care of the nursing home.

Dr. Leonard Jeffries and Sister Kefa Nepthys of the First World should be the primary community contact with Dr. Ben and his Family. I would like the community to assist them by first asking you - if you can volunteer to email me your names, addresses, phone numbers and availability. If you are a medical professional please let me know.

Dr. Ben has not spoken to his wife in about three weeks. At some point, we need to coordinate a visit between the Nursing Homes with cell phones so they can talk.

I will put together a list and discuss it with Dr. Jeffries. Once we have a list, we can select what type of support we can give Dr. Ben and his wife, Sister. Gertrude.

It is our chance as a community to help the man, most singly important for bringing us the Values and Virtues of Nile Valley Civilization and bringing us MAAT. Now we have a chance in our life times to be the Eloquent Peasants.

Special respect should go out to Sister Agnes Johnson and her Daughter for responding.

He needs visits,
He requests his books
He requests conversation
He requests to go to 125 Street in Harlem

Visiting hours are from 11am to 8pm
Take 5 train to last stop (Dyer and Light)
Take a cab or walk a long block under the train trestle to Boston Road.
Cross the street to bus stop in front of mini mall.
Take the BX 30. Bus will take you to Drieser Loop and the hospital is across the street on the left
