Obama from a spiritual perspective

We need to move more and more toward looking and understanding things from an African Spiritual perspective. To often we try to understand events by thinking and analyzing - ie a western methodology when we have our own technology for understanding the world.

That being said Obama's astrology has been done and I understand that he is Het-Heru Clan with a Heru asterism. Very interesting. Brother may have potential. I also understand that his clan in Keyna has done rituals and sacrificed a cow for brothers protection. More readings are being done and I will be sure to post them as they are revealed to me.

I agree with this perspective. As colonized Afrikans our Eurocentric ways cloud our vision and thoughts because we don't always remember to think or look at things from a deeper or spiritual perspective as you so rightly put it.

Sometimes I hesitate to share such perspective with others here in the forum because too many times their Eurocentric views has some of us tearing our people down before we give them a chance to see the destiny our ancestors has in store for them.

Furthermore, some days I really do not have the patience to watch serious discussions such as this end up to be a flame war with some of our people who seldom do any critical thinking but just react and follow the bandwagon Eurocentric thoughts and behaviors.

Not enough of us think from an Afrikan perspective on certain issues. Sad to say but true enough even though we speak as revolutionaries our colonial mentality seeps through our words, spirituality and deeds.

I understand where you are coming from but I want to ask you and say a couple of questions so that I can fully understand what you are saying???

If people like me who "follow the bandwagon Eurocentric thoughts and behaviors." because we are not Obama supporters, what would you call the masses who ARE Obama Supporters and do not "think (at all) from an Afrikan perspective on certain issues"?

I think and I say think, I am never too old for correction, that you (again VERY covertly) tried to have a dig at those that do not support Obama, sugar coated in some babble about them not thinking in the way of African spirituality!

Spirituality is personal to each individual and so is their thinking, so how can you possible assess it and draw conclusions based on what they have wrote in a forum.

Yes I believe he has a destiny that the ancestors might have prepared for him, doesn't mean that it will directly benefit us, maybe it's just to line us up. Every coin has two sides...only time will tell which way up it will land...

But in the meantime, let's take this time to unite and not use the forum to take sly digs at each other, keep it real, I have a despite for sneaky people! Who whispers when your back is turn and then turn and say it's because they "didnt want to cause trouble" Makes no sense...keep it real!!!

I hope that Obama inspire our people to work harder, nothing more, nothing less!!! Hopefully the new generation will take it to the next step...

Greeting sister. I totally diagree. Spiritually obama came from a caucasion who in turn raised him. She was the dominate force in his life that is why his skeleton are coming out of his closet. Obama Quote " I am not here for black issues" Obama Quote " I was trying to hide the fact that me and Chainey are cousins". I would consider them BLIND. Blindly trusting any man based solely on what he says is ignorant, but blindly downing a man based on assumptions is just as foolish.

This has been a very segregating issue, especially among the "liberated" of our community and there will be no consensus. We must NOT let this distract us from our common purpose of helping the "mentally enslaved" break their chains. The "guilty until proven innocent" mentality will not help us unify our people, nor will the opposite. Lets just watch and see what happens. Be ready to either clean up the mess if needed, or assist him if he proves to be useful. Our mission requires three open eyes in order to achieve success.

Sometimes I too can forget and follow the popular opinion if I do not take the time to study an issue properly. The so called "segregation mentality" label which you speak about was not my intention. I am not using it as you have stated when it suits me. I am an Afrikan so I take the good with the bad because when I speak about my people I include myself as well. As I'm sure you know, African DNA/RNA and Ancestry is dominant. No matter who raised you, if one of your parents is African, you are spiritually African. If you want to speak traditionally, in every African culture I know of, the son receives the spiritual traditions of the father no matter who the mother is. Those of you more versed in tradition than I, please confirm if I am correct or correct me otherwise.

I read both his parents were atheist so I kinda hope he is too, or atleast agnostic, we've already had a person that was in there blindly supporting Israel because of a twisted Ideology regarding the rapture and the Jews. But speaking of which, why isn't there a subforum for Atheist and Agnostics, from what i've been reading on there being atheist is somehow Anti-African somehow by some here, which I don't feel is true because if you look at it, the general consensus among anthropologist is that modern man evolved in Africa and walked out of Africa, its not like it was in Europe or something.

It's not good to speak in absolutes. MANY of our ancestors lived in matriatic societys, but many didn't. For example, If I ask my teacher (from Cameroon) his ancestry, he traces it back by saying, "Who was the son of...., Who was the son of...," back beyond 10 generations. In many of our cultures this was/is so.

The same from the genetic level. X and Y chromosomes. A son gets the X from his mother & Y from his father, while a daughter gets X from each.
