in the duality of things, religion is diffrent than spirituality,
in the metur neter he mentions that haiti,cuba and brazil was able to synchretize the afrikan deities with the catholic saints,thats because the nature of oppression, in the amerikkkas africans were forced to burry their gods and their statues under ground,capoeira was form of communicating with the gods in africa,it was banned in brazil fora period of time,till colonial times,you know, religion is diffrent than spirituality,as one friend of mine put ita great poet here in toronto,everything in the universe is spiral,our being able to connect with innerself is because the spirals in our head and the crown of our head,as we meditate and forget aboutn the world outside, we can go deeper into the universe,thanks tehuti for correcting me on ancestor reverence,as our ancestors make part of us,it is very important to connect with our good benevolent and honorounanle ancestors,we dont want attract the negative energies in the universe,back to my topic lol,religion is an institution based on deep psychological and deep brainwashing,based on guilt,like christianity and catholicism,religion relies heavily on psychology for controlling people,the general and broad misconception is that people just because they go toa church,they think they are "spiritual people" when the church people are the most hypocrites and parasitic people i have seen starting with preachers,pastors and deacons,priests and popes

I think that you are on the right track with your thread.I also think that religion is based on guilt,brainwashing and hate."The Hate U Gave Little Infants Fucks Everybody"as our comrad Tupac said with THUG LIFE.This is true to life,Alot of times the kids with the parents or parent that devotes alot of there time to the church is often the WORST.Because of all the guilt they impose on there children along with the brainwashing and hate.Hate is the very basis of christian or catholic churches,I feel this way because of the fact that jesus was a black man and the christians along with the catholics hide that fact from there congregation.The church commisioned michelangelo to paint false paintings of jesus to make people of all colors and creeds worship or put white people closer to god.There it is the reason for me at least.UHURU!ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE
