Five sex offenders are missing during annual check

Five convicted sex offenders, required by law to register their addresses with police, could not be found when Granite City police officers went looking for them during an annual check.

The five were charged Wednesday with felony unlawful failure to register as a sex offender.

Those charged were:

Jeffrey L. Parsley, 43, whose last known address was 2417 Edison Avenue.

Wayne Romanik, 32, whose last known address was Apt. 9, 2254 Washington Avenue.

Marcus J. Seacrist, 39, whose last known address was 2592 East 27th Street.

William A. Trickett, 32, whose last known address was 2731 Marshall Avenue.

Thomas M. Dunn, 49, whose last known address was 1900 State Street.

Police departments are required under state sex offender registry laws to verify, at least once a year, the addresses of all the convicted sex offenders.
