On Tuesday, July 26 between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. the Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis will present three reports on Linking Faith and Health in the Community. The event will be held at the Eric P. Newman Education Center, 320 South Euclid. If interested, you should RSVP by e-mailing donna@lutheranfoundation.org before July 15th.

While the title might not seem to be of interest, you should be aware that one of the presentations will be made by Rev. John R. Schmidtke, Pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church about his Better Living Communities Initiative currently underway off Salisbury in the Hyde Park Neighborhood of North St. Louis. This is a good way to learn how one organization has gone about the process of bringing some housing revitalization to a community directly adjacent to College Hill. I will have copies of the fact sheets regarding this event at our next Roundtable meeting at Tower Village on July 12, 2005.
