What's Up With The Talking Drum Collective: A News Update

If so of yall have been worrying is The Talking Drum Collective just a emailing service umm nah really. The Talking Drum Collective is a grassroots collective of Organization and Organizers who intend on taking Our communities back through Unity and Collective Work (Umoja & Ujima). This collective is no unrealistic fantasy renegade type of collective, there is Organization, plans of Action, and goals accomplished and to be accomplished. We understand that nothing can be done without Unity, Organization, Education, and most importantly Work a.k.a. ACTION… grassroots Action. The Talking Drum Collective is primarily a youth organization because we know that most mass movement were started, formed, and worked by the youth. The youth are the ones who do the Work while the elders guide and teach. We have completed two of our goals and we will continue to move forward. The one being the collection of organization's contact information and another being the compilation of calendar event in Atlanta Metro. We have also been on the radio three times, Organized a panel discussion on police terrorism (in UNITY with the Prisoners of Consciousness Committee [POCC]), spoke at a Marcus Garvey celebration (in UNITY with the All-African Peoples Revolutionary Party [AAPRP] and the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League [UNIA-ACL]), feed and clothe the People weekly (in UNITY with the Prisoners of Consciousness Committee [POCC] and Dusk Daughters), Educate, and Organize all in the last two months. We are on the move and will not be stopped. We are respected and taught by the elders and are serious about action. We Organize and educate on whatever front necessary whether in be on the radio, internet, and in the streets. We have accomplished a small amount and we are continuously Organizing and Working. This weekend (Aug 28, 2004) we are organizing a Black August Finale in UNITY with the Malcolm X Grassroot Movement (MXGM), Prisoners of Consciousness Committee (POCC), and the Dusk Daughters, three of Our community's warrior organizations. On September 1, 2004 you will be able to pick up the Calendar of Events at any black bookstore in Atlanta and many other progressive stores/shops in the metro area. These are just some of the things we are doing, have done, there is much much more Work to be done. So if these kinds of things sound like what you are about please donation your time. Our living freedom fighter, Hekima Ana (part of the RNA-11 go here for a little history: [PEOPLE'S DISTRICT COUNCIL OF L. A. COUNTY]) has come up with a simple idea called 10-10-50, let's support the idea. A minimum of ten (10) hours each month to a community based organization or institution concerned with the uplift and improvement of our people; a minimum of $10 every month to help fund your chosen organization or institution; Transfer or redirect, at a minimum, an additional $50 from your monthly budget to support African (Black) owned and operated businesses (New]http://www.10-10-50.org). Greetings and Power!

I heard the brutha pump 10-10-50 today WOAK-AM.

While i'm here, can someone either tell me how to reduce a mysterious 179 messages that is even more mysteriously "stored" in mi PM sec; or will someone do it for me.

Meanwhile I can not send any PMs; I've tried repeatedly after deleted some "unread" msgs. I think the problem lies in the software's knack of duplicating incoming and stored messages. I deleted about 70 or so incoming dup'd msgs.
