What are your views on Circumcision. Both Male and Female.

Personaly, I believe that it should be the child's decision when he gets older. My mother circumsized me when I was a baby so I wouldn't know what forskin would be like.

I am against female circumcision. It brings a host of health problems for the woman. Female circumcision performed in Africa is done without consent, anesthesia, hygiene and can result in death. It can render a woman incapable of feeling sexual orgasms.

Concerning male circumcision, as the mother of a boy who was not circumcised at birth, I think that the retracting of the foreskin for hygiene purposes in infants is a painful process that produces tearing, adhesions, and pain in the foreskin. My son ended up having to have circumcision anyways when he was 11. I would advise all parents of boys to have it done to avoid the above mentioned pain.
