Sango, Kawo Kabiyesi!!! All of the skies of the world belong to you. You who takes 200 thunder stones and can defeat anything. You who hover in the air like a storm of bees. There is nothing so heavy that you cannot lift. Great thunderer who falls on people like the blacksmith's hammer. You who are hard even in your eyeballs. You who always speaks truth and exposes the liars around us. You whom we invoke for justice, please keep us as your children.

YEMANJA

Yemanja. Mother of Orisa. Mother of us all. You who do good good good good good good good. Enormous mother whose breasts reach the ground; friend to barren women. You who embraced your children during the middle passage. Unfathomable Orisa whose power never ceases. Mother of womb water, who can see Olodumare. You, owner of the heavens, who has many ears and always hears our plea. You, benevolent Orisa whose name cannot be used for malice. You, whose crown is the rainbow, keep us as your children.

IFA

Ifa, Orunmila you who are second to the supreme creator, the witness to all destiny. You who are perfect in the house of wisdom. It is you who knows knowledge completely. You, who are stronger than medicine. If we knew you in full then all would be well with us. You, Orunmila, the averter of the date of one's death. You, supreme knowledge; who turns sorrow into joy. The small and very Black one who helps us to mend our character. Keep us as your children.

EGUNGUN

Egungun. Face of ancestors. The sacred one from the other world. You who survived death and protects us from death. The great voice from Orun. One who speaks with the authority of the ancestors. You who carry a sword and opa and teaches the children the old ways. The members of Egungun society are as numerous as chicken . Egungun might of the elders who corrects the community and chases away evil. We pray to you and you pray on our behalf to the Irunmole. Brilliant cloth whom no one may disrespect; keep us as your children.

IYAMI

Sacred, primordial Mothers. The intensely spirited Iyami. You the feminine birds of power whom no one can approach aggressively. The owners of moon time. You, dear mothers who disallow excess. You wise mothers to whom we speak in whispers. Our great mothers of three who sometimes comes in black, and sometimes comes in white, and sometimes comes in red. You, strong ones to whom we speak cautiously, whose many taboos we acknowledge. You, whose energy balances existence. The powerful, sacred bird whom no one can approach aggressively. We pray that we don't offend you. Keep us as your children.

GRANBWA

Granbwa. The supreme one of the forest. Mait Nyibla, the primordial tree. Protector of Guinea, the realm where Afrika comes from. Knower of all mysteries of the sacred grove. Keeper of the Fazun. You who hold the house up. You, ancient Vodun, king of the bush. Immovable Orisa, who keeps us grounded in the traditions of Mewetome, the Black land. You who lives in Fu-medji, who brought nature to the earth. You who leveled the mountain for the benefit of the ocean. Keep us as your children.

PETRO

Mait Petro. The Black one who without gun or canon devours the yovo completely. You who carries the rage of every Afrikan and Native American who died fighting against the yovo. You, the right of nationalism, who never tires. You the cosmic storm of one hundred and one Afrikan nations who can never be defeated. Mait Petro, you are strength beyond imagination, courage without limit and power beyond measure. Always fight for us, your children.

AIDAN WEDO

Aidan Wedo. You the primordial one who was created before the earth and sky. Omnipresent Vodun; wife of Damballah Wedo; You who descend from the heavens wearing a crown of wealth. You Aidan Wedo, the rainbow who carries the lightening bolts of Hevioso/Sango to the earth and back; whose movements shift reality back into balance. You who carried Mawu throughout the cosmos to give it form. Aidan Wedo, container of ancient mystery, please keep our world together by your grace.

You Aidan Wedo who are the force that keeps the earth together. You who are the conduit of balance and universal order. Great Vodun you are immortality itself. And you who allow immortality to be everlasting. May we be Afrikan people always remain immortal.
