A New Spirtuality/Old Spirituality

It is time for a new spirituality. In actuality, this new spirituality isn´t new at all. We can find it in all of the religions and philosophies that have been suppressed by the western world since the Roman Empire took over Christianity and the agents of the western world implanted into other cultures worked to carry out the western agenda. It is time to go back to a spirituality that allows people direct access to God and recognized people as powerful beings who have the power to create, instead of beings full of sin and evil.

This idea of connection is frightening for many people. They think that the average person cannot know God, or they´ll just go crazy and jump off roofs trying to fly or something if they connect with God, but direct connection is what is necessary. This is what all of the mystics and teachers from every tradition speak about. I am in the process of trying to start a new institution called The Circle. It is not a church, even though one can call it that for lack of a better word, it is a community that seeks the truth together. I don´t know where I´m going to get with this, but I think that it will help change the world.

I would appreciate it if some folks would visit the site and listen to the messages on it. The world is full of religion and people who are in charge of religions, but very few people really experience connection and the enlightenment and power that comes from a pure connection with the Beloved. Do you believe that a true connection with God is possible? If so, how do you seek that connection?

What is an example of a true connection to you?

I began to make a great shift when I hit a certain age. The things I had been doing didn't interest me any more. I had a milestone birthday and got laid off in the same year. I was really lost for a while. Then I realized that I didn't even want that job any more. It was a signal from the Universe to change.

For many years I had been looking for a spiritual path I really believed in. The church I grew up in kept telling me that my femaleness made me a second class citizen. I searched for something else.

I took this art class that told me about the really old time religion. That was all about the Goddess. I realized I had found my path.

I found out that all over the world women are gathering together in circles to remember the Goddess, the first and oldest deity found in archeological sites.

I am not talking about Witchcraft. I am not talking about bashing men. I am talking about the recognition that women are the mothers of all creation and that we have the power of the Goddess within us to do whatever we wish. We don't have to go outside of ourselves to find a high-in-the-sky God to give us what we want.

I realize that I am mother, whether or not I have biological children, creator, muse, nurturer and am on my way to becoming an elder.

Now that I have finally found the path I must find the best way for me to follow it.

A long time ago I had an experience which I later learned was a Kundalini experience. This was surprising, since I wasn´t seeking it. I had been a devout Pentecostal for many years. I was alone in a new city going to a white Pentecostal church and they were discriminating against me because the people were basically racist. I went back to my own religion that consisted of meditation, prayer and honoring the earth.

A couple of years later, the experience. When I had it I realized that I was connected with everything. I saw my greater self and liked it. I realized that God was not my enemy and God had many faces. More importantly, I became happy. I experiences an underlying river of joy beneath every emotion. Sometimes I get afraid, I get angry, or whatever, but if I change my focus I can go to that river at any time and I the fear and negativity dissipates. Now I am free to choose how I act and react, and know that I am greater than this society tells me that I am. I also know that everyone else is too.
