Dr.Claud Anderson was correct in saying that Black people are 100% consumers and 0% producers.

I have his book Black Labor,White Wealth:The Search for Power and Economic Justice. The problem with our people is that we spend money on foolish things we want,not things we need.It's very easy to get those two concepts confused.

Starting on the Last Day of Kwanzaa I am creating an initiative for my family, 2008 will be the Year of the Afrikan Family. Most will not participate because they feel they are not Afrikan, but who cares! All of my Blogs and what not will be part of the initiative to elevate the individual parts of our families, mothers, fathers, and children. I will focus on Spirituality, networking and of course the uncharted territory amongst the masses, Economics. I intend to use Dr. Anderson work, he is, to quote Talib Kweli "Unfuckwitable". We need to deal with this economic piece seriously. Of course from an African survival perspective and in the spirit of MAAT. We have tried to be capitalist we are not evil enough! We have tried socialism, we are not unified enough! Besides that we have evidence of Afrikans operating on a pre-colonial socialistic premise, why copy Marx, and Lenin, and Mao Tse Tung? Afrikans we need to focus on food, shelter, clothing and of course the tools neccesary to protect those needs by any means neccesary!
