| PAC's importance to Pan-Africanism
New official PAC-Azania documents have been posted to the Pan-African Perspective web site in the PAC - dedicated web space. It can be reached at http://www.panafricanperspective.com/pac/index.html These additions detail 1. new developments in general policy matters and 2. PAC's specific role in Pan-African, historically and contemporary. The documents have been placed in the About PAC section, The Policy Statements section and there is one completely new section called PAC's Historical Contribution. All these sections can be accessed via the pull down box on the top of the page, you can't miss it It first menu option reads The Land is Ours Why is PAC's role in Pan-Africanism more important than ever? PAC is need now more than ever. The regional "powers" of Africa are a mix bag of entities. Libya the home of the rocket car, leader in Pan-African CIT development, developers of life giving artificial river technology; ally and friend of NOI and Louis Farrakhan and the associated united front activities is among the positives. It has shown a consistent commitment to pushing the basic elements of the union government that Nkrumah and others initially postulated as the ultimate realization of the goals, and short term milestones, of Pan-Africanism. It has put it money and in kind capabilities to the service of this goal and remains our single best hope for devolving Pan-African power from the current AU process. The government of Zimbabwe also is a plus for us because of its principled commitment to reuniting the people with the land alienated from them by the force of racist colonialism's guns and allied means of attack. There are a few other bright spots. Namibia has made some very positive moves towards developing a greater Pan-Africanist orientation in their approach to the world. Africa's response to the Katrina fiasco for example is an indicator of the general perspective of the African commentator. On the other hand, South Africa, the new rainbow nation, is nothing more than a front for the same old malicious political and economic powers that were in control before 1994 and who are in control now. ANC's leadership elite has sold itself lock stock and barrell to global finance capital. The very same global finance capital that engendered and maintained the racist colonialist power structures in South Africa that at one time was the "official" controller in that part of Africa. Then there is Nigeria. which allows itself to be used as a vassal state for European petroleum interests, its leadership makes no effort at making the wealth of the Nigerian state an asset to the African people, aggravating regional, tribal and religious fractures in the society. They make no effort because their European masters have said that they cannot do this. It would by definition hurt their bottom line. Areas like Kenya are still the playground of the colonial, now neocolonial masters backed up by the same powerful global financial circles in the west that has always backed them. The New South Africa The ANC-led administration misrepresents Pan-Africanism by advocating that Pan-Africanism consists of everything that the founders of Pan-Africanism have categorically rejected. The regionalist approach, the overall opposition to union government that would provide necessary continental administration and coordinating, including any real central institutions, large or small, that would effect the global balance of power. But if Africa is to prosper the global balance of power has to change the AU says this themselves. So in the end such administrations are also violating the letter and spirit of the AU. The current South African leadership's parliamentary strategy is built on maintenance of the supremacy of western capital. Thus, it wants to sell off the land, land stolen from the African people of Azania to international finance powers. These powers are the very same colonial and neocolonial forces that have been controlling the area since the advent of colonialism. On the social front, ANC-led administration legitimatizes prostitution, by designating it as a protected form of employment. ANC privatizes and butchers essential services such as health, access to energy, housing, food and education. ANC imprisons the liberation movement fighters and "forgives" the crimes and further enriches the mass murderers and hired guns of the former "apartheid" regime as well as their big time backers. ANC-led administration perverts the democratic process in such a way as to negate the people's meager recourse in a finance-controlled republican state, distorts and misrepresents history of the liberation movement to maintain global finance powers control. The administation denies that the essential factors of culture, in every dimension, is the human input. Its policies are predicated on the denial of the role of the human factors in sustainable development. Deniing the human factors their rightful role in the process dooms the majority to substandard existences in their own land. The African peoples, the people, the men and women, the adults, youths and infants, must be the beneficary of our varied systems responses to our current condition. If it does not serve to improve the lives of the people, then what good is it to the people? That seems simple enough. Given PAC's policies and positions it is the best political party alternative for Africa and Pan-Africanism. Just as the role of states such as Zimbawbe and Libya are vital to Pan-Africanism so is the role of redemptive parties such as PAC-Azania. Hence its importance to Africa and the world.
