VOP seeks interns in community organizing and social change!

The Virginia Organizing Project is looking for high school and college students (and other young people) who are interested in doing an internship in community organizing and social change.

VOP's goal is to provide young people with an opportunity to develop solid skills for leadership and civic participation while engaging in specific community organizing efforts. Students make a personal contribution to the strategic work of social change, and get to do so in a multi-generational setting.

We are very flexible about the number of hours per month for an internship.

Internships are available throughout the state, and especially in the following areas: Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Hampton, Harrisonburg, Lynchburg, Norfolk, Richmond, Roanoke, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and Winchester.

Internships range from one month to two years. There is no deadline for internships.
