| Young Black Men and Teens: Things to consider before she becomes pregnant
Young Black Men and Teens: Things to consider before she becomes pregnant Dear young brothers I am speaking from experience. I became a young father at age 19 this has been many years now. It is not easy to control yourself because there are a lot of nice looking young women and they are just as sexually active as most young men, don’t let them fool you. Before you engage in sexually activity (this is how you get baby) you need to ask yourself some questions. 1)Are you mature enough to handle a baby? 2)Are you still living with your parents? 3)Is this someone you want to be with the rest of your life or is it just a fling? 4)Have you got a descent job to handle responsibility of having a child? 5)Are you able to take care of yourself without struggling (food, clothing, and shelter)? 6)Do you plan to go to a trade school or college after high school or do you have a job lined up? 7)If you did not grow up with a father, would you want the same for your child? 8)If you and the mother break up are you willing to pay child support? 9)Do you get along with her family enough to deal with them the rest of your days? Because they are a part of this to. I’m not here to condone or criticize you if are already having sex it’s non of my business, I’m sure that you have heard all the arguments before. The thing is having children before you can handle it is really tough. It is already tough trying to figure out who you are and what you really trying to get out of life especially being a young Black male, let alone trying to make decisions for someone who will totally depend on you. Now if you look around among your friends think about those who have baby’s before they are ready. Even though the girl probably will be the one who will keep the baby, it will be yours too. You are just as responsible as she is. You can control the outcome also it is just not on the girl. To avoid the challenges of a having a kid before you are ready think on these questions that are presented before you. I don’t care how tough you are or smart, (don’t think that it can’t happen too you). It is still tough taking care of children when you do not have the tools and resources to take care of yourself first. For those of you who already have a child and you are a teenager. PLEASE GET AN EDUCATION OR A TRADE this will give you the best chance to be able to take care of your child, do what you need to do, stability is the best thing for you and your child. Don’t allow others to discourage you this is the best way. From a brother who has been there. Hope this will be useful to you. So before you engage in sexual activity here are some options A.Wait until you get married B.Use a condom C.Make sure that she is on some form of birth control encourage her because you are the one’s going to have to deal with the consequences. Pass it along help another

That's the truth! I was talking to a friend and she said she has to get an abortion because she's pregnant and her boyfriend told her from day1 he didn't want kids unless it was w his wife. So she's ok w getting the abortion because they aren't married. My thing is this; if u both knew that from day 1, then why have unprotected sex, create another life then torture urself mentally and physically by aborting the unwanted pregnancy. She argues taking his side saying he warned her. My thing is why didn't he wear a condom? Why didn't she press the issue to wear a condom? That's so unfair to do to an unborn child. Not to mention we woman have to suffer most in that situation so why? I swear (I'm a little off subject) but people use abortion as birthcontrol and it's sickening. Then u got people who aren't in the predicament to be having children and they do it anyway making the child and parent have a harder life than necessary. |
