One person can vote as many times as they choose by simply reclicking on her name! The Last Day is March 3rd! Right Now She's is #4. Let's help her move up to #1! Assata Barton Miss Howard http://www.meachoops.com/msmeac/ ![]() Bio Assata Barton is a junior film production major who hails from the borough of Brooklyn NY. She is the second of six children born to Byron and Omiyinka Barton, natives of Jamaica and Anguilla, in the Caribbean. Assata’s journeys have taken her to Ghana West Africa, where she participated in a traditional rites of passage ceremony and revisited her ancestors past. Assata has also journeyed to Ecuador South America in order to further her understanding of the Spanish language, and mentor Afro-Ecuadorian children. At Howard University, Assata is a board member of the New Yorkers Unlimited Club, the Assistant Artistic Director of Nsaa Dance Ensemble, a member of the Vizion Performance Team and Community Service Organization, and a first time Resident Assistant in the quintessential Harriet Tubman Quadrangle. In remaining connected to her culture, Assata stands on the African proverb, Simba Simbee, which means, hold up that which holds you up. As Miss Howard University 2006- 07, Assata strives to hold up the institution, which along with her family and community, has given her so much. Through her platform HIV/AIDS Prevention Through Education, Assata hopes to assist in eliminating an epidemic that continues to aid in the destruction of her people.

Uhuru JABOOM and akuabarca Much appreciations for your help. SHE IS NOW AT #2!!!! Today is the LAST DAY TO VOTE! It's unfortunate that sisters like this have to enter into pangents in order to obtain the money she needs for school. That we do not have our own scholarships, and African-centered unversities for that matter, to suport our conscious young warriors who are trying to do the work for our people. However if we are in the position where we do not have to give our money, but a few seconds to help our people out, then it is in our best interest to do so.... For those of you who have helped please keep helping. And those of you who have not done so yet, this is an oppurtunity FOR US to help our sister gain funding for school. It only takes a little of your time. By just clicking on the name, "Assata Barton" at the link below. Medase Pa (Thank You) Here's the Link again: http://www.meachoops.com/msmeac/ HELP PUT HER IN THE POSITION WHERE HER VOTE COUNT IS SO HIGH NO ONE ELSE WILL BE ABLE TO SURPASS IT!!!
